Parallel Universe is the story of a real-life paranormal occurrence I experienced about two years ago.

My mother and younger brother recently died within a couple of years of each other. I was in my kitchen when, not unlike the show "Stranger Things" the lights began flickering off and on throughout the whole house.

We had never had any problems with the wiring in our home and the wind was not blowing the power lines outside.

This persisted for the next few weeks. It seemed strange, but not scary to me for some reason. My wife was mostly out of town when this was occurring, but she did catch it once or twice. One evening I decided to have a conversation with them in case they were trying to connect with me through the time/space continuum.

I told them that I loved them, that I was thinking of them, and that they should rest peacefully knowing that I was safe and at peace.

After that conversation, the lights stopped flickering and have not flickered since. True story...
