This might be one of the most deceptively profound songs that I've ever written. On the surface, the lyric is about a romantic relationship that just cannot flourish but buried deep underneath the surface I feel it may be God having a conversation through me to my former self about certain situations that did or did not pan out for me during my brief stay here on the planet.
